Chassis 009, one of just 100 examples of what Top Gear called “the best driver’s car in the world”, sold to a bidder in the room during a dinner held for California Mille participants. A portion of proceeds from the sale benefits the CHP 11-99 Foundation, which provides emergency assistance to California Highway Patrol employees and their families, and McPherson College's Automotive Restoration Program in honor of its 50th anniversary. Estimate was between $8,000,000 and $10,000,000. Insane that these cars are already $8,000,000 (including premium). It seems the last few months the market really went crazy with all these auctions (and private deals). A PTS orange color Carrera GT with 270 miles also sold privately for just under $10m dollars.
