Each year, tens of thousands of young adults leave the U.S. foster care system without stable support, facing significant barriers to independence. A new initiative called Petra Cares is working to bridge that gap by helping former foster youth secure meaningful career opportunities. The program focuses on providing guidance and connections to employers willing to hire individuals with foster care backgrounds. For those transitioning out of the system, these resources could make the difference between struggling and building a stable future.

About 23,000 young people age out of the U.S. foster care system each year. Petra Cares aims to connect those young adults with career opportunities.
