"Electric Vehicle (EV) owners in India are facing a roadblock in their pursuit of a greener future. Residents of BMW, Kia, and XUV EV owners in various cities are taking to the streets, and social media, to protest the lack of accessible and functioning EV chargers. Despite the government's ambitious goal to promote electric vehicles and reduce carbon emissions, residents are being met with bureaucratic red tape and resistance from Resident Welfare Associations (RWAs), who claim that installing EV charging points will compromise parking spaces and aesthetics of their colonies. As the demand for EVs continues to grow, the need for a seamless and efficient charging infrastructure has become a pressing issue, and residents are demanding action from the authorities to address this critical concern."
