Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer BYD has once again outpaced Tesla in terms of battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales in the second quarter, despite a strong rebound by the US-based EV giant. According to recent reports, BYD's BEV sales soared to a record high in Q2, driven by the company's expanding product lineup and growing market share in China's highly competitive EV market. Meanwhile, Tesla's BEV sales saw a significant increase in Q2, thanks in part to the company's efforts to address supply chain issues and production bottlenecks. However, BYD's continued dominance in the Chinese market and its increasing global presence have raised questions about the company's ability to maintain its lead in the rapidly evolving EV landscape.
