However, electric vehicles (EVs) are closing the gap, accounting for 16 percent of registrations, a significant increase that highlights the growing demand for eco-friendly transportation options. Meanwhile, plug-in hybrids have managed to secure a modest 2.3 percent share, suggesting that consumers are increasingly opting for more environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional gas-powered vehicles.
