China and the European Union have reached an agreement aimed at significantly reducing the export of Chinese-made hybrid vehicles to Europe. The deal follows concerns over market disruption and unfair trade practices, with both sides seeking to balance trade flows. Under the terms, Chinese hybrid electric vehicle exports to the EU will be cut by more than half, while the EU will increase its exports of electric vehicles to China. The pact highlights ongoing tensions and negotiations between the world’s two largest economies over automotive trade policies.
