A major expansion of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure is underway in the UK, as Drax and Aldi announce a significant partnership to grow their joint EV charging network. The energy company Drax, known for its investments in low-carbon power generation, and the discount supermarket chain Aldi, have been working together since 2020 to install EV charging points at Aldi stores across the country. Their initiative aims to provide convenient and affordable charging solutions for drivers, particularly in rural areas where charging infrastructure is often scarce. With this latest expansion, the companies are set to increase the number of EV charging points at Aldi stores, making it easier for motorists to switch to electric vehicles and reducing the UK's reliance on fossil fuels.
