Oxfordshire authorities will extend electric‑vehicle charging stations into more rural communities, following a successful pilot in the county’s towns. The rollout, backed by local council and regional transport partners, aims to place new chargers along key routes and near popular countryside destinations, easing range anxiety for drivers and supporting the county’s net‑zero ambitions. The expansion is expected to create jobs, boost tourism and encourage residents to switch to cleaner vehicles, with the first sites slated for installation later this year.
