Chinese automaker GAC is set to shake up Europe's rapidly growing compact electric vehicle (EV) market with the launch of its Aion UT model. Initially targeting four countries - Finland, Poland, Greece, and Portugal - the rollout marks a significant expansion of GAC's global presence. The compact EV is poised to compete with established players in the region, including Volkswagen, Peugeot, and Renault. With the U.K., Italy, Spain, and Switzerland set to follow in the rollout, GAC is betting big on Europe's appetite for eco-friendly vehicles, raising questions about how the newcomer will navigate the competitive landscape.
