Portugal has taken a significant step towards becoming a leader in electric vehicle adoption, with Galp, a major energy company, announcing the completion of an ultra-fast EV charging corridor. Spanning over 600 kilometers, this extensive network of high-speed charging stations will enable drivers to travel from Lisbon to Porto in just a few hours, making long-distance electric car travel a reality in the country. The corridor, which is part of Galp's broader plan to accelerate the transition to electric vehicles, features over 100 charging points with capacities of up to 350 kW, allowing vehicles to charge at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour. With this innovative infrastructure in place, Portugal is poised to become a model for other countries looking to promote sustainable transportation.
