Indonesia is set to unveil a comprehensive roadmap for its electric vehicle (EV) industry, as the government accelerates its efforts to transition the country's transportation sector towards cleaner and more sustainable energy. Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan has announced that the roadmap, which is expected to outline key strategies and targets for the development of Indonesia's EV industry, will be finalized soon. The move comes as presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto has also pledged to prioritize the transition to electric vehicles, citing the need to reduce the country's reliance on fossil fuels and mitigate the impacts of climate change. With Indonesia aiming to become a major player in the global EV market, the government's roadmap is expected to have significant implications for the country's automotive sector and the environment.
