Honda is advancing its wireless charging road technology with upcoming durability tests before a real-world trial on a Japanese expressway. The system will first undergo rigorous track evaluations to assess its performance under varying conditions. Following these tests, it will be deployed on a 984-foot stretch of the E14 Tateyama Expressway for further assessment. This marks a significant step toward practical implementation of wireless charging infrastructure for electric vehicles.
