Hyundai is developing an updated version of its Santa Fe model, set to debut as an electrified plug-in hybrid called the Santa Fe EREV, combining a gasoline engine with an electric motor for extended electric-only range. The automaker is also introducing new "N Lite" trims, which appear to focus on a more performance-oriented approach while maintaining efficiency. This move aligns with Hyundai’s broader push toward electrification and lighter-weight, sportier variants in its lineup. The upcoming model signals a shift toward hybrid and electric powertrains in the midsize SUV segment.
