I’ve reached the point where I’m actually dreading the "upgrade" to a newer model. I went to a few dealerships last weekend to check out some 2026 units, and I’m genuinely shocked at how much "luxury" now just means "one giant iPad and zero physical buttons." I get that touchscreens are cheaper for manufacturers to produce, but trying to adjust the AC or heated seats through three sub-menus while doing 70 mph on the highway feels less like progress and more like a safety hazard. Not to mention the "piano black" plastic that looks like a scratched-up mess after three days of ownership. It feels like we’ve traded tactile, high-quality switches for fingerprint-magnet tablets that will probably be laggy in five years. submitted by /u/chrissymck [link] [comments]
