European car sales saw a modest rebound in August, with year-to-date registrations rising by 5.3% compared to the same period last year. The growth was largely driven by battery-electric vehicles, which now account for nearly a fifth of the market at 21.7%. Industry analysts suggest shifting consumer preferences and policy incentives may be accelerating the transition to electric models. The data highlights a continued but uneven shift toward sustainable transportation across the continent.
