Laramie Community College is rolling out a hands‑on engineering course this spring that will guide students through the complete design and construction of an electric vehicle. The semester‑long class combines classroom theory with real‑world labs, giving participants experience with battery systems, motor integration, chassis fabrication and vehicle testing. In partnership with local industry sponsors and leveraging grant funding, the program aims to equip aspiring technicians with the skills needed for the rapidly expanding EV market. Enrollment is limited, and the college hopes the project will spark further curriculum development in sustainable transportation technologies.
