North Carolina is taking a stand against a major electric vehicle (EV) project that has fallen woefully behind schedule. The state has filed a lawsuit against VinFast, Vietnam's largest automaker, over its delayed EV battery factory and manufacturing facility in North Carolina. The project, which was announced in 2021 with great fanfare, promised to create thousands of jobs and establish the state as a major player in the EV industry. However, VinFast has repeatedly missed deadlines and failed to meet its commitments, leaving investors and local officials frustrated and concerned about the project's viability.
