Electric vehicle (EV) manufacturers are taking a crucial step towards making long-distance travel more practical and efficient. Chinese battery giant CATL and Octopus, a UK-based energy company, have joined forces to launch an extensive EV truck battery-swapping network. Spanning over 100 miles, the network will enable truck drivers to swap their depleted batteries for fully charged ones at designated stations, reducing charging times significantly. This innovative solution aims to alleviate range anxiety and increase the adoption of electric trucks in the logistics industry, a key sector in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
