California-based utility company Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) has expanded its bidirectional electric vehicle (EV) program by partnering with Tesla to integrate the latter's Cybertruck into its network. The move marks a significant step forward in the adoption of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology, which enables EVs to act as both consumers and producers of electricity. As part of the program, Tesla Cybertruck owners will be able to sell excess energy generated by their vehicles back to the grid, contributing to the stability and reliability of the power supply. The partnership is expected to pave the way for widespread adoption of V2G technology and its potential to revolutionize the way we think about energy storage and distribution.
