Porsche's parent company Volkswagen has announced a major restructuring effort, with luxury sports car brand Porsche at the forefront. As part of its efforts to reduce costs and adapt to a rapidly changing automotive landscape, Porsche is significantly increasing its planned job cuts. Initially aiming to cut around 7,000 jobs by 2025, the company has now set its sights on eliminating around 9,000 positions by 2035. This move is seen as a response to declining sales and rising competition in the electric vehicle market, with Porsche seeking to reduce its costs and invest in the development of new electric models.
