Other outlets have broadly panned the Land Cruiser for its engine - finding it gutless in highway passing and unpleasant to drive generally, with its reluctance to downshift and NVH. Another consideration would be total range - both get around 300 miles from a tank, with the Land Cruiser averaging about 20 mpg and the GX getting ~15 in SavageGeese’s testing.
