Automotive giant Stellantis has revealed a major overhaul of its Italian manufacturing operations, assigning specific roles to various plants as part of its ambitious turnaround plan. The move aims to revitalize the company's Italian manufacturing base, which has faced significant challenges in recent years. According to sources, Stellantis will task the Mirafiori plant in Turin with producing high-end vehicles, while the Cassino plant will focus on electric and hybrid models. Meanwhile, the Termoli plant will reportedly shift its production to commercial vehicles. With the Italian government offering significant incentives to support the plan, Stellantis is betting big on its Italian operations to drive growth and competitiveness in the European market.
