Automotive giant Stellantis is set to strengthen its ties with China as part of a significant expansion plan. The company, which owns iconic brands such as Peugeot and Citroen, is reportedly deepening its partnership with the Chinese market through a joint venture focused on electric vehicles (EVs). As part of this agreement, Stellantis is also planning to shift production at its Spanish plant to cater to growing demand for EVs in Europe. This move is seen as a strategic effort by the company to boost its presence in the rapidly growing Chinese market and meet the increasing EU regulations on emissions.
