Tesla is facing a significant recall of over 218,000 vehicles worldwide, citing a critical issue with the rearview camera system. The recall affects various models, including the 2021-2022 Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y, as well as the 2022 Model S Plaid and Plaid+. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the rearview camera may not display properly, potentially impairing the driver's view of the area behind the vehicle. As a result, Tesla is taking steps to address the issue, which could lead to costly repairs and potentially open the door to class-action lawsuits.
