Tesla is facing a significant recall of over 218,000 vehicles in the United States, affecting several of its popular models. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the recall is due to a software issue that may cause the vehicles' rearview cameras to malfunction, potentially leading to accidents. The affected models include the 2021-2023 Model S, Model X, Model 3, and Model Y. Tesla has not yet announced a plan to address the issue, but owners of the affected vehicles will be notified by the company and instructed on how to have the software updated free of charge.
