Electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla has secured a major contract with US-based purchasing cooperative Sourcewell, allowing the company to sell its electric vehicles to over 50,000 public agencies across the United States. This partnership marks a significant milestone in the push for widespread adoption of EVs in government fleets, which could lead to a substantial reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and a decrease in reliance on fossil fuels. As part of the contract, Sourcewell member agencies will have access to Tesla's full range of electric vehicles, including the popular Model 3 and Model Y, as well as the more luxurious Model S and Model X. With this deal, Tesla is poised to make a major impact on the US public sector's transition to electric vehicles.
